Rockdale/Newton County FCA Staff


Area Director 

Arthur Hawkins currently serves as the FCA Area Director for Rockdale and Newton Counties. His vision is that FCA would have an impactful presence of Jesus Christ on every campus in the Rockdale and Newton County area. He shares the Gospel with schools in Rockdale and Newton County on a weekly basis. The highlight of his week is leading Mon, Tues, Wed, and Friday. Coaches’ Bible Study.

Arthur is a native of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, where he lettered 11 times as a high school athlete. Arthur played football at North Carolina Central University where he lettered and played on two MEAC Championship teams. He completed his B. S. degree at Troy State University, received a master’s from Austin Peay State University, and educational leadership certification from Mercer University. He is retired from the United States Army, where he served as a drill sergeant, and airborne paratrooper. He also served as a Coach, Teacher, Associate Principal and Principal in La Marque ISD. He resides with his wife, Varie, (Dr. Hawkins) and has 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren.


Area Representative - Newton County

Terry Boddie serves as an Area Representative for FCA in Newton County, Georgia. He manages huddles/partnerships in all 3 high schools, is the primary chaplain contact at Alcovy High School and is currently building middle school huddles. His passion is to impact student athletes through the message of Jesus Christ through the vehicle of FCA.

Terry is no stranger to athletics nor ministry. He played ball ever since he was a child and received his pastoral ordination at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. The combination of knowledge and passion for both ministry and sports is what drives him to make an impact for the glory of God.

Terry's first ministry is to his wife, five children and one granddaughter. They are his world! Providing for them financially and in an atmosphere that honors and lifts up the name of Jesus is his first priority.

Bill Rodriguez

Area Representative 

Bill Rodriguez serves as the Area Representative for FCA in Rockdale County, Georgia. He currently manages huddles for Heritage and Salem High Schools. He has a passion for using sports to bring the Gospel of Jesus into the public schools. 

Bill is originally from the Washington, D.C. area, where he played high school ball. Bill attended Liberty University where he played football and receive a B.S. degree in Religion. He has served as a Student Pastor for the last 14 years. He also worked as a paraprofessional with Special Needs students at Rockdale County High School. 

Bill is married to his wife Sarah and has two sons, Malachi and Isaiah. He enjoys time with his family hiking, traveling and watching football. They are all huge Washington Redskins fans. Bill also serves as part time Student Pastor at Discover Point Church in Conyers, Georgia.
